Family Buisness

Family Buisness
Tequila is a spirit that can only be made in Mexico and nowhere else, making the spirit exclusive and special to Mexico and to all tequila drinkers and tequila experts. Tequila is also made in certain regions of Mexico. The Gonzalez’s were fortunate to be from the heart of region where tequila is produced. The Gonzalez’s were also experienced in growing agaves for unsurpassed tequila at the time. As time passed, premium tequilas were being bought out by outside investors and soon the bottom line was the main concern. This is why 3 Amigos was made.

Assigned Entry # 6 Final Blog Reflection

I enjoyed blogging to a certain extent. I liked how we where given a topic and we had to explain in our own words what we thought of it and about our reactions. Once we had that done we would get feed back from class mates and other people around the world through comments and those simple comments made me feel important and happy that someone else agreed with my blog post. There was a time when I didnt take blogging to seriously. I stopped reading what other people had wrote on their blogs and I stopped commenting all together, I stopped being their audience. Its not that they didnt keep me interested I just lost some motivation. A couple of things I learned from blogging is becoming a big part of such a large community. You are able to find at least ten topics you are interested in learning about. You then connect with the author and start writing your opinions and thoughts and reactions and you are actually are being heared. My English Instructor did an exellent job in expaining to us what blogs are about and he kept us motivated all throught the semester with very interesting topics. I will continue writing blogs but mostly about makeup, tequila, going through nursing classes, and lastly about my new journey through pregnacy and it all started because a great instructor.

Entry # 5 Media Synthesize
If you would have asked me 5 or 6 years ago how media impacts my life I wouldn't have much  to say.  Now that I understand what media is and how It benefits me I now have lots to say about it.  I'm just going to talk about how media helped our business and how it makes me and my family feel proud of it. When we first established our tequila business and started marketing we started with the most simple ways. We got a facebook page for our fans.  On facebook we have all of our family, friends, and customers leave feedback on events they went to or how much they enjoyed our brand of tequila.  We get to upload videos and pictures of our success in events. We use this social network that is world wide and its a great feeling that someone out there across the world tried our tequila and are kind enough to leave their comments.  Once we mastered facebook we went ahead and made a website that then lead to having a twitter and so it went on.  Shortly after we realized how our cell phones and computers became a very important medium.  One of our mediums is our cars. We put our logo and quote all over our company cars and use bright orange colors to get peoples attention. Another car that has all that and got us a lot of media attention is 3 amigos tequila Nascar car at Phoenix International Raceway. President Bryan R. Sperber announced 3 Amigos Tequila – the Official Tequila of PIR – as title sponsor for the upcoming NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race at PIR.  About Phoenix International Raceway since 1964, Phoenix International Raceway has served race fans as the premier motor sports venue in the Southwest. Watch the brightest stars in NASCAR take on PIR’s famed one-mile oval – including five-time defending Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Tony Stewart and many more.  We have so many other ways of using media for our business to become known world wide.  I strongly believe that without media our tequila business would not of had so much attention in such little time.

Assigned Entry #4 Capitalism

Capitalism is an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market.  I did not know what capatitalism was util I googled the definition and as I watched Michael Moore's film on it called The Love Story. When I watched the film I could not believe the emotions I felt watching it. If the film didnt have music or voice you could tell either way it was about something really bad and negative.  As I compaired the definition to the film I could not find a way to compare both of them. Until the part of the film where Paul Smith a walmart employee told his story. His story was very sad, his wife who was also an employee at walmart passed away and because of her death walmart got eighty thousand dollars richer and the family did not recieve anything from walmart. So this this is what a private or corporate ownership do on their private dicisions. They discuss about who and how many many people are going to get money from a dead employee. These people dont have hearts and Im scared of ever meeting or trusting a company like that. So now that I understand a little bit of capitalism, I now understand Michael Moore's purpose of this film. He makes these films to persuade his viewers into taking their blind folds off and seeing how corrupted these people are. It didnt take me very long to alighn with him on this subject. Michael has the evidence to prove his point across, The evidence was shown in the film. He interviewed the family and he interviewed workers they had so much to say. Michael try to interview the bad people and they hid their faces like cowards.

Assigned Entry # 3 Arizona State University to offer more short classes

In my opinion I think its great that ASU is offering more short classes.  In my opinion and personal experience this only works for some people. People that have time to attend more hours in a day and that do good in accelerated classes and get the bonus of saving money and time. Personally I took a four week Anatomy and Physiology class that was a two hour class everyday as well as a  two hour lab. I had two quizes and test every week. I did not do as well as I wanted to, due to the fast pace. I am the type of student that likes in person and 15 week semesters classes. For Nursing I have the option where I can start a Nursing Program and I  get my BSN in 2 1/2 years as opposed to 4 years. In this program you attened a 2 year nusing program at a college of your choice and before, during, and after that 2 years you also take online 7 1/2 week classes at Arizona State University or University of Arizona. The good new is you do save money because you pay the college tuition and not the universitys.  I have friends and acquaintances that are in programs similar like this and they love it and recommend it to other students, its growing every semester. Because the universities see this improvement they find more ways to add more classes  like that. So like I said it benefits some people and some instructors, but I think it should keep on growing.

Blogs: Assigned Entry #2. Slanted Reporting on the Boy Scouts and Homosexuals

In this story the facts that are being stated are the boy scouts have not changed their policy about allowing members stay if they are homosexuals. I believe they are innocent people that want to be accepted in a life changing organization. The policy of Boy Scouts of America states "While the BSA does not proactively inquire about the sexual orientation of employees, volunteers, or members, we do not grant membership to individuals who are open or avowed homosexuals or who engage in behavior that would become a distraction to the mission of the BSA." I believe its not right that the person in charge of the boy scouts organization will not change or surrender to those terms established about gay rights. Because the editors of The New York Times think its noteworthy that an organization wont change with the times. Or perhaps more cynically, they believe that those who wont change with the times need to be singled out for public scruting. By these individuals being singled out in public also leads this to bulling.

Self Generated

In this video you see my father Eleno Gonzalez, Uncle's Santiago and Atanacio Gonzalez and some cousins and myself helping each other to set up the Tequila Fest in Phoenix. This Event was amazing, I met Xzibit the rapper and you may know him from the show Pimp My Ride. Other reasons why this event was amazing is because I love spending time with family and being part of the present and future development of 3 Amigos Tequila. Salud Anigos!

Assigned Entry # 1

My first opinion about blogs is I am really enjoying them. There are so many different blogs out there, but anything that relates  to beauty or personal blogs I am hooked. I like to read and comment on other blogs and really try to under stand the tone and purpose they are trying to get across. I read three Blogs and one that I really enjoyed is The Everywhereist by Geraldine De Ruiters. Geraldine shares her adventures she has with her husband and its a personal blog and its very entertaining. The blog I did not enjoy very much is the adventures on depression. This blog was titled as humerous and I did not find it funny or entertaining. It was actually very sad and it seemed the author was making fun of people with depression.
